Causes of Blocks and Limitations

As human beings, we all want to live our lives with happiness, fullness, joy, and fulfillment. However, we can sometimes encounter events and experiences that change the routine course of our lives and disrupt our usual routines. Sometimes these are traumatic events, but other times they’re rooted in more everyday stresses such as over-commitment, persistent emotional stress, and failing to deal with issues as they arise so that they begin to snowball.

The causes of these disruptions might be any (or all) of the following:

  • Mental overload due to anxiety, fear, or stress
  • Physical illness
  • Physical injury
  • Suppressed emotion

These disruptions of our daily patterns of living, in turn, can contribute to further disease, illness, and unhealthy habits we turn to in attempts to cope with the disorder in our lives. When we encounter these disruptions and the snowball effect they start to create, we begin to feel blocked and limited from attempting to regain joy and fulfillment in our lives.

Limitations we impose on ourselves and emotional, mental, and physical blocks might manifest themselves in any of the following ways:

  • ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) or ADHD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)
  • Addiction
  • Alcohol Abuse
  • Anger
  • Anxiety Attacks
  • Behavioral Problems at Home, School, or Work
  • Depression
  • Emotional Issues
  • Insomnia
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Overeating
  • Panic Attacks
  • Physical Abuse
  • Physical Symptoms
  • Relationship Problems
  • Stress
  • Substance Abuse

Therapeutic Journey Process

The Process of the Therapeutic Journey

The good news is that there’s hope for people in these unhealthy living patterns. All of us can learn to reduce and sometimes even eliminate the unhealthy coping habits that we’ve taken up in the attempt to deal with lifestyle disruptions. All of us can learn to live our lives in more fulfilling, healthy, and confident ways.

The process of overcoming blocks and limitations in our lives is called The Journey, and it’s been used and understood by people all over the world. Undertaking The Journey calls for taking an in-depth, guided look into one’s self. Through The Journey, one can gain insight into their motivations using the wisdom and intelligence that is already present in one’s mind. Using this insight, one can discover the blocks and limitations that may be holding the individual back from dreams, goals and full life.

The Journey is a powerful technique for getting to the cause or physical, behavioral, and emotional issues that may be affecting a person. By using this technique, individual clients learn that they can consciously choose to release these issues and permanently alter these personal issues at their root source.

Transformation Prayer

What Is the Transformation Prayer?

Some clients choose a Faith-Based Track, which is rooted in Christianity. This track is used to support and enhance their therapeutic treatment process. Transformation Prayer is optional.

Those who choose Transformation Prayer find that this Faith-Based Track is a system that helps the individual in his or her walk with Jesus Christ. In this system, clients root out and identify lies they’ve come to hold over the years that are holding them back from walking entirely along their path to Christ.

Transformation Prayer uses focused intentional prayer. The purpose of this prayer is to encounter the true presence of Christ authentically and through Christ to renew the individual’s mind, body, and spirit and to transform the person’s life.

By the process of the Transformation Prayer, clients on this Faith-Based Track learn how to take responsibility and own up to their emotional wounds and to release the defensiveness and coping mechanisms that are holding them back from moving forward according to Christ’s purpose for their lives. The session gives clients the tools they need to uncover and refute the lies that are the causes of their emotional and spiritual distress.
