A Forever Recovery brings together rehabilitation professionals using many different treatment techniques and modalities. This approach guides our clients into finding the program that will be most successful for them. Many of our graduates tried other programs, only to find frustration and eventual relapse. Also, those particular treatment methods were not designed specifically for them. They mainly concentrated on what was successful for others. A Forever Recovery offers supplemental activities and combined therapies aimed at repairing and rejuvenating the mind, body, and spirit.
Supplemental Activities Address the Causes of Blocks and Limitations
As human beings, we all want to live our lives with happiness, fullness, joy, and fulfillment. However, we can sometimes encounter events and experiences that change the routine course of our lives and disrupt our usual routines. Sometimes these are traumatic events, but other times they’re rooted in more everyday stresses such as over-commitment, persistent emotional stress, and failing to deal with issues as they arise so that they begin to snowball.
The causes of these disruptions might be any (or all) of the following:
- Mental overload due to anxiety, fear, or stress
- Physical illness
- Physical injury
- Suppressed emotion
These disruptions of our daily patterns of living, in turn, can contribute to further disease, illness, and unhealthy habits. Unfortunately, we turn to these patterns in attempts to cope with the disorder in our lives. In fact, when we encounter these disruptions and the snowball effect they start to create, we feel blocked from regaining joy and fulfillment in our lives.
Limitations we impose on ourselves and emotional, mental, and physical blocks might manifest themselves in any of the following ways:
- ADD or ADHD
- Drug or alcohol abuse or addiction
- Anger, anxiety, panic attacks
- Behavioral problems at home, school, or work
- Depression, emotional Issues
- Low Self-Esteem
- Physical Abuse
- Physical Symptoms
- Relationship Problems
The Process of the Therapeutic Journey
The good news is that there’s hope for people in these unhealthy living patterns. In truth, we can learn to reduce or eliminate these unhealthy coping habits. Through supplemental activities, individuals learn how to live their lives in more fulfilling, healthy, and confident ways.
The process of overcoming blocks and limitations in our lives is called The Journey, and it’s been used and understood by people all over the world. Undertaking The Journey calls for taking an in-depth, guided look into one’s self. Through The Journey, one can gain insight into their motivations using the wisdom and intelligence that is already present in one’s mind. Surprisingly, using this insight, one can discover the limitations that hold the individual back from obtaining dreams and goals.
Therapeutic Journey is one of the powerful supplemental activities for getting to the cause of physical, behavioral, and emotional issues. In fact, this technique helps an individual learn that they can consciously choose to release these issues. Furthermore, they can permanently alter these personal issues at their root source.
What Is the Transformation Prayer?
Some clients choose a Faith-Based Track because it is rooted in Christianity. Overall, this track is used to support and enhance the therapeutic treatment process. Transformation Prayer is optional.
Transformation Prayer is a Faith-Based Track that helps the individual in his or her walk with Jesus Christ. In this system, clients identify the lies they’ve come to hold over the years. For example, these lies have been holding them back from walking entirely along their path to Christ.
Additionally, Transformation Prayer is a supplemental activity that uses focused, intentional prayer. For instance, the purpose of this prayer is to encounter the true presence of Christ authentically. Also, this helps to renew the individual’s mind, body, and spirit and to transform the person’s life.
All in all, by the process of the Transformation Prayer, clients learn to take responsibility for their lives. They also learn to release the defensiveness and coping mechanisms that are holding them back. The session gives clients the tools they need to uncover and refute the lies that are the causes of their emotional and spiritual distress.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
